The combination of the Sunday game and seasonal flu saw the team playing at half strength. Although several Riverside players accepted the challenge of playing out of position the team came up short.
The first half ended with Riverside up 15 to 14. Riverside speedsters Nelo Lui, and Andre “Dre”, made great individual runs, scoring a try a piece. Nelo also added a drop goal slotted from the half way mark.
However in the second half, LA found the chinks in Riverside’s armor, and exploited them mercilessly. On the defensive side, Los Angeles did a good job of containing Riverside’s danger men with team defense, and prevented several 60 yards from resulting in any points for Riverside. The game ended with a final score of 48 to 15.

Both captains agreed to forgo the final few minutes of each game in the interest of the safety of the players. Our thoughts and concerns are with the LA ruggers, and we wish them speedy recoveries.
