Riverside drops to 2 and 2

Riverside lost a hard fought battle against San Diego’s Old Aztecs. Although Riverside answered the challenge presented by the Aztec’s dynamic fly-half and center combination, the Killer Bees failed to capitalize on key scoring opportunities.

Riverside’s forwards dominated open play for most of the game, dishing out the clean, crushing tackles the club has become known for.
Although both teams played great rugby, The Aztecs found a way to get it done when it mattered the most, while Riverside faltered. Between dropped balls, knock ons, and forward passes, Riverside consistently failed to capitalize on glaring overlaps in the backline, and the huge speed advantage presented by the two blazing wingers, “Dre”, and Andrew. Riverside’s forwards also failed to score on go-ahead opportunities, turning the ball over twice within inches of the try line.

The Killer Bees have a week off to regroup and prepare for San Luis Obispo.
