This is a fun commercial by Adidas featuring the All Blacks and the British Lions playing a friendly game of British Bulldogs. Although this activity is quickly being banned in schools everywhere, it was once a great and cheap way for kids to expend energy and get bruises.
British bulldogs is a game played by British kids during recess. The game usually starts with the smallest kid who wants to play being the bulldog. All the other kids line up on one side of the playing field and try to run across to the other side. The bulldog tries to tackle someone. Anyone who is tackled becomes a bulldog. The objective is to be the last man standing.
The best part of the game is when the tipping point of underclassmen is reached. Eventually enough underclassmen are bulldogs that they can gang tackle an upper classman. When this happens, the advantage shifts from the wilde beasts to the crocs. Good hunting!
As opposed to dodgeball or other PE teacher sanctioned violence and bullying that we have in the US, only those who want to test their courage play the game. No one was forced in.
