Riverside Rugby Alumnus Tui Osborne scored his first IRB sevens try in San Diego against Portugal. Tui’s try sealed the victory for the US.
Tui saw a 10 meter gap between Portugal’s number 11 and number 6. As anyone who has played with Tui knows, this is too much space for a man with his acceleration. Tui exploded through the gap after one hard move, and coasted to a try.
Tui was a member of several Riverside National championship sevens teams, as well as the undefeated SCRFU Division I championship team.
Tui joins Nelo Lui and Malakai Delai as former Riverside Rugby players to represent the United States in sevens Rugby.
